Evntful is not just a dating app. It prioritises in-person connection by prompting users to book dates in the app from a wide range of vetted and safe date spots. I knew that in order to get the most out of my internship, understanding the brand and how to elevate it through socials was key.

Projects
Here are just some of the many projects I had the pleasure of working on, in my time at Evntful Dating.
Trends:
The job wasn't just about editing, it was also about tracking trends across online spaces, including niche spaces like running and beauty. The reward comes when you've earmarked a trending sound or format and prepped a video idea, to ride the wave of its popularity. The team strived to not just follow trends, but to go above and beyond, to find something unique that our brand could offer to the conversation.
Meta Ads:
When I joined, Evntful were a new startup (about 4 months since the soft-launch), so targetted ads were a big part of learning how to tailor edits to reach the right audiences and provoke the right response. Very quickly, I managed to bring the CPA below average for Facebook Meta ads. Analysing the data through the dashboards allowed me to fine-tune edits and give feedback to the team about how we can continue to reach the right audiences.
Series Content:
A big part of creating a recognisable brand isn't just the font, colour or ad copy, but it's how it makes the viewer feel after watching a piece of content. Whilst I was at Evntful, those who wished to create content were encouraged to do so, some of the best of these were turned into regular series that tapped into different niches. My challenge, as editor, was to walk the line between being on-brand but also fresh and unique to the style of content in the series.
